Yes, nothings goes as planned. In the end, we went home with two healthy, baby boys. That’s all that matters. They’re all that matters.

My children came into this world to the sound of Bob Marley. I did not see them. I could not hold them. And I was left alone in an OR as Jimmy looked after James in the NICU.

Getting my wisdom teeth removed was the most I’ve experienced in terms of an operation. Saying I was on edge the entire Caesarean procedure would be an understatement.

I have never undergone a major surgery. The most I have experienced is getting my wisdom teeth removed. So when I found out I was having a c-section, I was more than hesitant. I was panicking.

All of those Braxton Hicks contractions and false labor pain led up to this moment...the moment when labor becomes real and I’m unsure if I’m ready to face what happens next.
